Alder cones (Alnus Glutinosa, black alder) dyes beautiful brown tones.
We recommend to use 150% of the material weight, otherwise the colour will be very light.
The cones, just like the bark, must also be soaked for at least 24 hours before dyeing.
You can play wonderfully with different mixtures. Madder and Buckthorn bark is very suitable. There are also great results with copper and iron sulphate.
